A) EUROPEAN CULTURE, IDEAS AND EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

  • Sources of the European rationality (Eastern motives in the European philosophical tradition):
    Structure: contamination (typological) of philosophical ideas of West and East; historical beginning of philosophy; social and psychological preconditions of philosophical knowledge; mythological concept of origin of philosophy; relations of mental archetypes of East and West.
    Aim: revealing of preconditions and sources of formation of the European philosophical rationality.
  • European Philosophical Anthropology:
    Structure: relationship between philosophical anthropology and philosophical knowledge; most important anthropological concepts in the European philosophy of the XX century; philosophical anthropology in tradition of Russian thinking.
    Aim: acquiring theoretical basis of the philosophical doctrine about essence, nature and purpose of the man in his relation to the world and to itself
  • History of Europe and European Union:
    Structure: specific features of Ancient Greece and Rome; the significance of the medieval Europe; the formation of modern culture in Europe; origins and development of industrial civilization; crisis of industrial civilization and transition to postindustrial society.
    Aim: revealing of preconditions and sources of formation of the European history and culture

B) EUROPEAN LAW AND POLITICS

  • Political Map of Europe:
    Structure: foreign policy of the CIS countries and the EU; NATO, OSCE and the External European Policy of the Russian Federation. Aim: analyzing the political systems of states in Western and Eastern Europe
  • Mechanisms of Human Rights' protection in the Council of Europe:
    Structure: the structure of the Council of Europe in the context of the Human Rights' protection.
    Aim: analysis of all existing mechanisms of Human Rights' protection within the Council of Europe
  • Case-law of the European Court for Human Rights:
    Structure: detailed analysis of all cases against Russian Federation.
    Aim: acquiring knowledge of the case-law classics of the European Court for Human Rights
  • Case-law of the court of European Communities:
    Structure: peculiarities of the EC structure and its legal system; judicial control of the legality of Community acts; the role of case-law in establishing joint EC market, in regulating the intellectual property issues in the EC and in regulating the government involvement in the economic activities.
    Aim: analyzing the doctrines of the case-law used in the EC court
  • Ombudsman:
    Structure: analysis of ombudsman's functions and activities of local commissions and commissioners for protection of human rights and the rights of minorities; OSCE Commissioner
    Aim: acquire knowledge of the role of ombudsman
  • Philosophy and Sociology of Law:
    Structure: philosophy and sociology of law in the system of social sciences; ontology of law and typology of law understanding; positivism of legal aspects; human rights and freedoms; public political power and ways of its identification as a state (concept of state); state and law; state and civil society; typology of law and state.
    Aim: integrating law philosophy and law sociology as systems of scientific knowledge
  • Political elites: Russia - West - East:
    Structure: functioning of political elites in a comparative context; elitology as scientific and educational discipline; ruling elite of Russia; role of political elite in development of a society; sources of formation of the modern political elite and interaction with other types of elites; political leaders of political elites; business characteristics of the contemporary political elite.
    Aim: understanding the opportunities of elitology in definition of core characteristics of political elite.
  • Comparative politology: cultural and civilizational aspect - West - East - Russia:
    Structure: historical-philosophical introduction in a subject of political comparativistics; paradigm of political comparativistics, subject, language and criterion of comparisons; doctrinal basis of political culture: West - East - Russia; problems of humankind's moral - civilizational and national political values; modern political globalistics in epoch of risk: geo-economy, geopolitics and global ecological imperative; problems of nonviolent political action.
    Aim: analyzing opposition, interaction and synthesis of political culture of East and West.

C) ECONOMY AND POLICY OF EUROPEAN UNION

  • Main Models of Accountancy and Analysis Abroad:
    Structure: Western experience of accounting and reporting both at the national and international levels; details of accounting standards, policies and practices in the West; specific features of financial documentary of the foreign residents acting in the Russian territory, adaptation of Russian reporting system to the international standards.
    Aim: acquiring knowledge about the accounting systems abroad
  • Social Management :
    Structure: details of social processes: migration, employment, unemployment control, incomes and expenses of the population; basic statistics for social processes
    Aim: acquiring tools for monitoring social processes
  • Cross-cultural Management :
    Structure: issues in the process of international relations: personal exchanges between representatives of various nations; tools of socio-cultural transformation influenced by international business reciprocation
    Aim: analysing human behavioral moves in the sphere of managing multinational communities, negotiation processes, contractual activity; building up a successful long-time co-operation.
